Finding the proper path
A thick book, lying on a desk in a monastery, hidden in the mountains. Nicely formed letters fill the pages, clearly the hand of an educated person.

Today I stayed in the upper room of Dundee inn. It was peaceful and quiet there, near the fire. It allowed me to spend some time to think. Various things needed attention. And while checked the straps on my armour-plate and retrieved the armour polish from my pack, my thoughts travelled through many places:

- JKD, wise old friend, careful leader. I miss your guidance. How I admire your ability to explain things with a few simple words and a gesture, while I allways seem to need a flood of words to make myself clear. I hope your travels are going well.

- Dear One. It seems an eternity since we saw each other. However, I still feel as near as ever. There is no worry there.

- From the tower at Strifegorge I look out over the east during te nights. Despite the warmth Sunrifter grants during the dayn the nights still seem chilly there. However, for now all seems more or less quiet. No large armies approach under the demon banner.

- The guild is nearing its 6th birthday. We are about to start our 7th year. So many memories. I seem to see the shimmering reflection of familiar faces in the polished armour plates. Friends old an new. How is it that it allways makes me reflect on my own actions. If they were to return, would they be surprised to find me here or would they not.

Well. It is time for me to don my pauldrons again. It was good to write in this journal again, even if the thoughts seem random and disorganised, it may help me to find some order between them.
